This is not a "how-to" on Influence, but more of a survival guide. Robert Cialdini has updated his classic. I think this book is unique in approaching the subject from a scientifically based perspective. Influence discusses how "compliance professionals" use our instincts, that usually help us navigate a complex world, against us. He offers some good advice on how to be on guard against being scammed, without being so cautious as to become disfunctional. This book explains a lot of behavior - and its an easy read.
